Dear Customers and Supporters of the Grand Theater:

It is hard to believe that 12 years have passed since we reopened the historic 1924 Grand Theater after a full restoration on July 29, 2005. Since then, our success can be attributed to 100% of our customers. We are privately owned and operated, we receive no grants or donations, and we don't even force you to watch a monotonous loop of advertising. A sincere thank you to all our customers for making my dream possible!

As many customers are aware, 2017 was an absolute disaster for the domestic box office. We blame the drop on a simple lack of good movies. This year there were few "must see" movies. Despite the drastic decline in US attendance, I am proud to report our attendance was down less than half of the national average drop!

We are sorry our 1923 Marr & Colton was only played for the silent film series, a few shows as preshow entertainment, and of course during our 13th annual Christmas Tradition Show on Dec 14th. Our organ curator/organist has been out on leave, and we all wish Carl a speedy return.

Now for the big news... what is changing in 2018? Absolutely nothing! No price increases, still the best picture and sound in the area, and the best historic atmosphere!

On a final note we do have exciting news. We have embarked on the lengthy process of having the Grand listed as a National Historic Landmark through the National Register of Historic Places, administered by the National Parks Service, Department of the Interior!

Thank you again for a great year and your continued support and patronage!
